first band fill today. london clinic

Had my first band fill today....not half as bad as I thought it was going to be. Port found after a few mins prodding around (uncomfortable not painful). Band emptied of any Op residue, again, not painful. Band filled with 4.7 mls of saline. A drink of water and all done. Brilliant 😊😊😊😊 thought I would post this just in case anyone was apprehensive about this procedure.

    Have u noticed any difference in regards to restriction since the fill?

      I had 1.5 mls left in after the Op and I could feel that restriction, especially if I ate too fast. I'm on liquids for 3 days and then soft foods for 2, so probably won't feel anything until I start on regular food. No restriction felt when slowly drinking water. Hope that helps? 😊😊😊😊😊😊

    That's comforting to know. I've got mine in 3 weeks time and wasn't looking forward to it.

      I was really worried about it as I had read lots of comments. The nurse made me feel at ease and apart from the prodding it was painless and when the band is being filled it just felt like a tickle or Like you get butterfiles, quite a plesent feeling really.
