First day in 14 weeks post op tkr

Finally felt better this morning, went walking and shopped and drove, tonight knee has that God awful rubber band feeling around my knee, very depressing

    Just remember it will pass. It won't last. But I know what you mean by these reminders we are still in the healing process. So many have reminded me this is a slow process like running a marathon. That analogy has served me well. Hope it will you too!

    You're in luck!!!  That feeling only lasts 12-18 months post-op.  Fourteen weeks down...umpty-dump weeks to go. Aren't we all so very lucky???  Seriously...this is nothing to be depressed about.  It will go away in time.  How much time?  Everyone's different.  One day you will realize it's no longer there and you can't remember the last time you felt it.  Honest truth...

    Im with you ALL the way 19 weeks TKR Hard to explain "feeling" feels Numb Hot and Bruised 😮 The more I do the "tighter" knee feels I've been to GP various times in fact yesterday I'm being referred for more Physio before any MRI or Re referral to Orthopaedics None of these problems with TKR on other knee 12 + years ago 😯

      Many people on the Forum who have had both knees done report differences between the experiences.  Does not seem to be unusual.  Numb, hot, bruised, tingly, tight, etc. are all reported as normal feelings that decrease over time.  Try some Voltaren Gel (RX in the US)...great topical anti-inflammatory.
