Hi, I tried Sertrline for 5 weeks but I guess it wasn't meant for me, started on Escitalopram today 5mg for 2-days and then 10mg after. if you would share your feedback, side effects what to expect, how to best deal with them and finally I understand it takes about 2 weeks before I see any benefits...Would greatly appreciated! I'm suffering from Anxiety with slight depression. Thank you

i can't stay in the present overwhelmed with thoughts about being anxious. chest tightness mostly. i have to take a benzo in the am 23 days on pristiq. i worry i'llnever get better.

Its terrible because my thoughts have taken over my life and i cant do anything without feeling sick.
Thanks to having no emotions and no will to do anything all I do is think about dying and being emotionless all the time and I can't function.
I keep hearing that when the meds kick in the rest will start to ease up but it takes time.
Its just all viscous and horrific.
I am now researching CBD oils.

good afternoon
I am headed back to the Drs tomorrow.
I have decided to wean myself off all meds and take a large amount of vitamins. The anxiety and panick side effects of have become way to intense for me. This morning i hit a peak where I truly wanted to die and t scares the living hell out of me. Also went to the grocery last night and all of the sudden I felt like I was having an out of body experience and not in my body but in a nightmare.
I need to clean my system of all these meds and see for sure whats going on with myself. I know if I stay on this path I could hurt myself and that scares me. The anxiety pills have done nothing to help me.
I went to vitamin world today and stocked up on alot of Vitamins and im going to my psychiatrist tomorrow.

praying you will get better andrea remember if you do come of meds come down slow on meds it takes time coming down also

yes klonopin ask your dr for that to get you through side effects. it works fast

I will ask him about it. I have also been told zanex is good too. They told me they did not want me to have any benzos because of the possible interactikns but at this point im desperate to be able to function until my emotions come back and my obsessive thoughts clear up:(

Lynn they didn't want to give me those based on the fact that they thought they would spiral my condition upwards. They gave me a non narcotic anxiety med that is more of an antihistimine then an anxiety pill but is supposed to work for anxiety. However not on me. This morning was the worse I have ever been and it truly scared the hell out of me. I was on citalopram for 4 weeks with absolutely no signs of getting better but worse and worse which is how I developed the Obsessive thoughts. They swapped me to escitalopram to help with the extreme panic and im still on that but weaning off for the effexor. I was warned that the effexor would have a high chance for suicidal thoughts and that's how I awoke this morning.
I need to get all these meds out of my system so I can think more clearly. I don't know that this will help but I worry about getting worse and worse. I know they say it gets worse before better but this is to scary for me.
How are you feeling?

same, mornings are the worst for me with anxiety, i am 3 weeks 5 days on pristiq . BRIAN said it could take 8 to 10 weeks to kick in. Being on no meds is not goingto help thats why you went on them. see if you can get a benzo from your doctor. i only take one in the am yesterday i took none.

thank you for replying. I am at the Drs now.
these meds are seriously messing with my head so i am back at drs now.
I don't want to kill myself at all but the meds are making me so bad that i fear i will neber come out if it and would rather die but do not want to hurt myself.
I am going to stick to the escitalopram for longer with the vitamins and ask for a stronger med for the anxiety until all of this settles down and i find my right meds.
I will certainly reach out to the resources yiu shared when i get really bad throughout this journey.

everyone is different so there is no sure time frame. Last time I was on Citalopram my sode effects were minimal to none and i felt much better in about a month. This time around is so much worse so so so much worse. I am 4 weeks in and feel same and worse some days.

Also she had me swap to escitalopram and told me it was basically the same as citalopram because there is citalopram in escitalopram so im not sure if I basically started over from day 1 when she swapped me.

New one two weeks but its in the same family as citalopram

lucky you i'm in vermont. its so cold already. pharmacist scared me said drug should kick in fully by 6 weeks. i am 28 days today and all i can think of is no way. MORNINGS are the worst most days better around 4;00 . i seem to just have severe anxiety.

HI I am 4 weeks in 10mg, was put on if for internal treamberling and anxiety, no different going to slowly climb up to 20, my thoughts are worse waking early and my thoughts stop me going back to sleep, cold band around my stomach with lots of noises, been on prozac plus escitalopram, carnt get better since April this year, age 58
