First diagnosed

Hi, I was recently diagnosed although I know for years something wasn't right. I do suffer for mental health issues so I assumed it all stemmed from that, however i suffered from migraines, dizziness, anxiety which at times is hard to leave house (so thought it was all MH) I suffer from Severe vertigo which makes it very anxious and painful when walking. Tiredness and sensory overload. The pain in my left leg today was really bad today and have painful muscles most days. I suffered from flu conjuctivus and it really floored me, and just having been the same since. Feels like every muscle is twitching and I get this sharp stabs throughout my body. Are these symptoms like yours? I don't have much support at home 'as if it's all in my head' so would like an honest opinion. So tired of this circle.

So sorry you are feeling this bad. I do have the muscle twitching and sharp stabs at times. Are you on an anti depressant? Sometimes they can cause similar symptoms like the vertigo...I take st johns wort which is natures answer to prozac but you cannot take it if you are on meds for depression etc. The wort is good for immune system too. I would find a good rheumatologist and have him or her talk to you about fibro and what you can take. My friend takes Lyrica and she is very happy with it. God bless

Hi, yeah i started Amitriptyline, 10mg at night. I got tramadol for pain but not liking them thay much. Maybe your right, that the medication is causing my veritgo, just wish it would ease off as its hard to walk outside.

The rheumatologist just confirmed it, and have sent me back to docs. Just dont want to be seen by someone you doesnt believe in the condition.

      Thanks x

Most doctors do know that fibro is real. It is now recognized as a real condition/disability by the Social Security Admin. Find one that listens and believes what you are going through. My suggestion is watch your wheat and sugar intake, "no flour no sugar" walk daily or whatever you like to do to get exercise. Good luck. Keep me posted
