First genital herpes outbreak!! Help

I'm a 23 year old female and I just went to the gyn 9/11/17 because the pain was too severe. I've never had an STD or STI so this is all new to me. I haven't been diagnosed yet (waiting for test results) but after a heavy amount of research, I'm pretty certain I have herpes and the doctor seemed to think so as well. I was and still am shocked because my sexual activity was with another female. There was no oral involved, just fingering and grinding... So how is this possible? I don't engage in sex with me but, she does. My main concern right now is when will this agony go away? This is about day 5 since I've started experiencing the symptoms and this is day 2 of taking 800mg ibuprofen that I've been prescribed which doesn't help with the pain from the blisters or whatever they are and hell I go through every time I urinate. I find out in a few days what I'm actually diagnosed with but I don't go back to the doctor until 6 days from now... What can I do to relieve the pain? Is it almost over?

Herpes is skin to skin contact so that is all it took was the grinding if this is what you have! Olive Leaf extract is supposed to be good. I've been eating raw garlic I think it's helping I don't feel so itchy. I also use tea tree oil and coconut oil for the itch. ACV (Braggs) is supposed to good to drink or apply topically. Raw honey topically is supposed to be good. Your going to have to do a little trial and error to figure out what will work for you because everyone's body reacts differently. It's been 4 yrs for me and I still can't Identify my triggers.

Thank you Jessica! But does eating raw garlic make urinating less painful or does it just help with the itch? Also, how much and often do you eat it? After having this for 4 years, is urinating still a problem for you?

And to add, I know you're not a medical expert but maybe you'd have an answer, since there was skin to skin contact and that's where it was transmitted... how come she doesn't show signs of having anything or had an outbreak?

I never had the peeing issue but it's supposed to surpress the outbreak all together. If you try it eat parsley and plain Greek yogurt because after a few days it will come out your pores. I eat it every other day maybe I might even skip days but when 1st trying it out I suggest a week straight. Have you tried using a squeeze bottle with warm water while you pee?? I had to do that after I had my son because I had a few tears nothing worth stitches but it burned and hurt (my vagina)  and that gave me relief along with that dermaplast I think it's called it's in a blue can. Although I didn't have herpes then I had some pain discomfort and opening and that made it barable.

Some ppl are carriers!! Or have such mild symptoms it's dismissed as something else. My 1st swab was negative yet I have genital herpes. I was told she can look at my bump and tell it wasn't herpes. Told I prolly had a yeast infection. I always got ingrown hairs even when I didn't shave I got yeast infections atleast a few times per year prior too herpes so it was def easy for me to dismiss it especially after the swab was negative. I later insisted blood work I just felt off. My bumps don't look like the pics and I only get one to 3 here and there looks like a pimple or bug bite.

Have you had it confirmed by swab since? Which blood test did you do and how did you score? I would be suspicious by the negative swab and only a blood test with atypical bumps.

No never had a swab since! Never gave me a number just said I was exposed to hsv sometime I had anti bodies or something like that. She said if I ever felt uncomfortable or had an actual outbreak call her for meds. I get that tingle and itch. I just noticed the bug bite looking bumps a few months ago.

I haven't tried using a squeeze bottle but I do just use an open water bottle and pouring it over vagina as I pee. Doesn't help as much as I'd like but it's something. Just feel like each day the symptoms hurt more and more, shouldn't it be the other way around

I wouldn't assume you have herpes. Dig up your old results or retest for IgG only. As you should know, the blood tests are not the best, so with no swab diagnosis and no outbreaks, you have little that says you have herpes, especially if your positive blood test was for IgM or your positive IgG score wasn't that high.

I don't know. I'm only saying you should reconfirm your diagnosis, because it doesn't necessarily sound like you have herpes. You might, but then you might not.

I remember the fever and how terrible I felt when I first got it that's why I wasn't satisfied with the swab results because the tingle and irratation came back every couple months kinda put two and two together than I remember the guy having a strange mark he assure me was a cut from shaving above his penis 🤦🏽??? Stupid me and insisted I shave too because he found it sexy smdh

Hmmm, well, I'd still check your previous positive result or just (re)do the IgG test to be sure, if I were you. Imagine if your positive was for IgM, or your HSV2 IgG is a low positive and you also carry HSV1? Either scenario and you would have no definitive evidence of infection, because both can be false! Tingling and irritation can always be other things. Anyway, up to you, but that's what I would do.

Funny you say that I have hsv 1 pops up every few years since I was 17 but that was never mentioned when my blood test came back!!

Every one reacts differently. Your body has to build up its immunity if it's herpes. Have you put anything on the sores??

About once a day I'll put extra virgin olive oil on it (all I have) but I sit in a warm bath for about 20 min a few times a day and when I'm not doing that, I'm applying ice all day long. But after each bath I haven't been applying anything, I just dry it with a hair dryer
