first outbreak of herpes

I may have herpes...I'm 16 years old it's my first outbreak

I got an STI blood test, urine sample and swab done yesterday and my syptoms came about last saturday and since have gotten worse over time.

It's incredibly painful to pee....I'm doing the salt bath and holding myself open when peeing but it still hurts like hell! The only time i get relief is in the bath without peeing...

I need to poop but I've been keeping it in..

I haven't been drinking a lot

And i haven't been eating much as i don't feel like it...

I feel like crying over this...im in another state on holiday to where i live and i just want to go home and recover...

I go back on sunday and im scared to go on the plane....

I don't have any medication for herpes

Just antibiotics for "infection" which has helped dry my sores up....

Im on two sets of pain relief too but they don't do much...

Get yourself some coconut oil if you can. Obviously it's not nearly as effective as proper medication, but it really helps to keep the urine off the sores when you need to pee!

    Dear Ellie

I just want to say to you that if you have herpes (and you might not remember!) You are amongst many many people who have this. Once you get through this it will settle down too.

Get some good support from someone you can trust and if it is herpes (remember it might not be!) you can get antiviral medication if you get another outbreak.

Some people don't get another one but if they do it gets milder especially with the medication.

I'm sure you must feel alone right now but you have a community here who can support you and you'll be home soon!

    Take care

    Hi Ellie

I really cant say it better than Lucy did. You're among many people who care because like soooo many people we live it too. I've been HSV-2 positive for 10 years and I experienced everything you described as well. Once you get on suppression therapy you're golden. Personally, I can't even remember my last outbreak and all the feelings you're experiencing (not eating, etc) I suspect is just depression from the initial shock. I know that's what happened to me. Get to your doctor and get your meds and in a matter of days you'll feel better. I have been in counseling and with this group for sometime and it helps a lot. The crying will subside too. wink

Remember....This is a very common situation in society

    wink

      Hello smile

      Thank you very much xx

I have to say it's getting better x

The pain when i pee in the salt bath does not hurt nearly as much as it used to ~ i no longer cry or scream 😊 still is painful but now it's manageable ~ and its getting slightly easier to walk and sit even with aches and stings~

I think the reason i don't want to eat would be my antibiotics since i do wanna eat but i feel like throwing up when food is in my mouth...

i love food honestly 😁and im bummed that right now i can barely eat.

Im hoping that once this is all through I'll be able to eat again with no hassle 😊

Im going back to my doctor today for my results (the day i go back to my home state 😐)

To ease the pain when peeing, you need to drink lots, not less. Diluted urine stings a lot less. The antiviral meds during a first outbreak don't do a whole lot unless started asap, so it's not much of a problem that you weren't given any. Topical lidocaine can also help numb the pain.

When you pee carry a bottle of water with you. Pour it on your vagina while you pee. It helps. Sorry you have to go through this. My first outbreak was wicked as hell. It will pass. I know it doesn't seem so but it will. I had my outbreak in my butt. I would hold up my poop too but it isn't healthy. It might hurt but to me nothing compared to the pee. If you do decide to poop clean yourself as best as possible then get in the shower. You need to eat and stay hydrated so your body can heal. Wishing you the best.

      Hello~

The outbreak seems to be getting better as pering in the bath has gotten a lot less painful.

I've been going to the toilet a lot more now maybe 3 times a day compared to what i was before.

I hopefully get my results today ~ they said i would ~

I can walk easier but still with pain and sit stikl with pain but it's getting a lot easier to manage.

Thank you for the help xxx I'm going on a plane back to my home state today so im glad it's healing
