Hello all,

I'm 3.5 weeks out of my 4 day hospitalization for an uncomplicated microperforation. I've successfully added fiber to my diet. I had a small bowl of pasta with marinara sauce and salad last night. No pain at all after the meal. This morning a bit uncomfortable due to the fact I had a significant bowel movement. Other than that all is going okay. For those who've returned to a normal healthy diet with success, when did you eat some of your old favs? I miss chips and guacamole. I won't ever go back to eating chips frequently as I once did...mores the pity😭. That said, can i ever eat them again? Or, will the harder texture ruin me? I'm not brave enough to try yet. I've successfully eaten salad, onion, garlic, broccoli, salad, squash, pickles, etc.

Any advice or thoughts from you lot would be highly appreciated. Cheers, Jacob

jacob , they didnt tell you to keep it very soft for a couple weeks to help colon rest? I had two weeks of applesauce, yogurt, vanilla pudding, mashed potatos, chicken noodle soup. lots of water and ginger tea. slowly moved up to tuna and small amounts if chicken with above items. I was told to chew everything I put in my mouth to consistancy of what youd feed a baby.

I had same thing last October and having my first flair and finished the dreaded meds last Thursday. I hit to many foods for the colon to process and have been bathroom bound for past 6 hours. Take it slow

Im having trouble getting approval on foods people eat. So congrats on yours. Im on my 7 th day after the dreaded meds and so far either Jasmine rice, corn bread or flour tortilla set it off again.. Have you introduced steamed squash, vanilla pudding and maybe cream of wheat? Just was told, cut banana length wise and scoop out middle it has seeds!. Fill with probiatic yogurt or teaspoon of pb.
