First time on here, desperate times :(

Hi... I've suffered from thrush since I gave birth to my son almost 2 years ago. I've been back and forward to the Dr so many times and each time they do swabs which come back negative so they just prescribe me anti fungals and send me on my way. For the past 6 months iv now been having recurrent uti's which leave me very ill, the Dr says this is nothing to do with my thrush but I'm convinced it is. Now the past few weeks I've noticed a skin rash down below which won't go away, it looks just like a fungal skin infection. I've got an appointment for next week yet again. But not getting my hopes up. I'm so depressed this is affecting my relationship and I just want to get better. Has anyone tried the candida diet or acidophilus or aloe Vera drink?? Have they helped anyone?? I'm willing to try anything now sad

Hi Ashley I've had all this and the fungal infection which is thrush is it browny red the rash ? I got given daktacort which works a treat on the fungal rash . I also had swab after swab and it comes back negative. So I cut out sugar and bread and alcohol and things improved and  I take difflucan every ten days or so .  I also started taking acidophilus probiotics and things improved further not tried the aloe Vera drink but I was tempted. The doctor I saw said it just depends on when the swab is taken as to if you get a positive result or not for thrush. Go to a gum clinic and get them to test you they have more time and when I went they were brilliant with me. They have ladies on difflucan on a regular basis they are very thorough and kind. There are different kinds of thrush candida alibi cans and Galbrata they need different treatments. You don't say if you are anywhere near menopause!!! Coconut is good for helping to get rid of thrush eating it and cooking with it. Keep a chart of your symptoms and see what works. Keep your chin up it can be solved.

Thanku for replying! Yes the rash is red, just looks like little red spots almost like ingrown hairs only they don't go away. Not very attractive looking rolleyes I have cut down on bread and sugar but find it difficult to eliminate them completely! Iv stopped drinkin alcohol altogether. Iv just bought some acidophilus so go in to start taking it tomorrow and see how it goes. No I'm in my 20's so not near the menopause. Has your thrush completely gone now or just better than it was? Glad that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, it's so frustrating sad x

That could be an allergic reaction ? Get your doctor to look or swap doctors for one more in tune with women's stuff. Your partner may also have thrush and be passing it back to you?? Has he been treated as well? My thrush is more or less solved I have odd bouts of it
