First walk

Hi all, I've just had my 1st walk since the op yesterday. Tried this morning with the physio's but failed miserably. They came back about 45 mins ago and success, I was able to walk with the frame then the crutches. It's early days but a simple result like that makes you feel great so keep up the good work fellow hippies, small victories result in happy thoughts and a sense of achievement .
Good luck to all,
Mark

Those first few steps are slow and more of a shuffle but boy do they feel good! I think once we are on our feet it can be amazing just how easy it is to take those steps.
You will be flying now, there'll be no stopping you. You must have had this drummed into you but listen to your body, whilst it's great to achieve these little milestones, it's the early days that you can do it some damage. Take all your pain killers and rest often. You will be skipping before you know it!
Take care.
