ive been trying to gain weight for a while now, im pretty skinny so i started eating heaps and working out a few years ago. i havent gained much at all. i have had a bit of constipation since i started eating lots so i went to the doctor about a year ago and she told me to eat more fiber, so i did. it didnt help at all, and i feel sick all the time and i cant eat enough to put any weight on now. and a few weeks ago i noticef blood on the toilet paper and a small cut, it kinda looks like a fissure but i dont really know. it doesnt hurt heaps, i get a bit of itching and sometimes pain when i wipe. Could all this be related to something? i really dont want to go to the doctor for this cos its embarassing. What do i do???

apply diltazem ,or nifepidine ointment ,it is acute it will heal for sure ,do sitz bath , take stool softener , forget about gaining weight ,otherwise you might gain some chronic ailment ,do whatever u want but keep ur stools soft for God s sake , hopefully u will heal in few days

    Hello Brod,

Sounds like it is a fissure since you mentioned blood and pain.

Try taking a sitz bath after using the bathroom, I have found those help mine with pain and healing.

I also sometimes apply the hemorrhoid ointment which helps a lot with the pain and discomfort.

    Hope you find a solution!

Most important thing to do is keep stools soft. Take a magnesium oxide or citrate supplement daily. Don't eat any white flour or other constipating foods. Too much fibre can cause bulky stool and too much water can cause loss of electrolytes which causes constipation. So try to balance it to what suits your body. Include flaxseed, pears, apricots, figs etc in your diet

It should heal within 2-4 weeks by itself.

Also, don't be embarrassed to go docs, they've seen it all before.
