Fissure Hemorrhoid Fistula Surgeries

I had surgery with botox for anal fissures and external hemorrhoids in March of 2021. It is now June 2022. I never fully recovered from that procedure and I've been in pain ever since. I just went back for a recheck to maybe shed some light on why I'm still hurting after all this time. The Doctor said that it looks like the scar tissue formed a fistula. Now I'm looking at another surgery to repair the fistula. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Or, care to share their fistula surgery story? The thought of another surgery terrifies me:(
