fistula after hypospadius repair

Hi my 13 year old son was born with mild hypospadius . He had his repair at 18 months old which resulted in a fistula as soon as the catheter was removed . He had the fistula repair at 2 years old which failed . Even at a young age he was left traumatised by it so we decided to leave him and let him make the decision on further operations as he got older . He made that decision and had a further fistula repair in March this year which has left him not only with a larger fistula but now he has a spray rather than a drip so it is now worse than before . My question is has anyone had numerous fistula repairs that have eventually worked or will he just be going through it for nothing ? He is due to go for his 6 month post op appointment shortly
