Hi All,
This was the booklet I was given the morning after my op by the physio lady in hospital. Thought I'd put the link on here for anyone who is interested.

Hi Annie,
Well I ended up paying to go privately in the end as the waiting list here in the South is supposed to be 18wks but they are behind. I also wasn't happy with the NHS gynae consultant I saw, so I paid for a second opinion privately.
Pain was worse from the gas after the op and then bad bruising but I seem to have had much worse bruising than most other people who've had the op. Not sure if it's because I'm petite?!
Not much longer for you now then. Good luck😉

You're welcome😉
I've been doing the exercises but only once a day at the mo as I'm still so tender. Plenty of time to do them more once I'm feeling better I think.
I've felt stronger the last few days but also exhausted! I've slept all night the last 3 nights and I can't tell you how nice it is not to get up 3/4 times a night for a wee which I had to pre-op due to my fibroid. Just cannot believe how exhausted i am after having breakfast and a shower in the morning😳
Haven't been out for a walk today as the weather is horrid! Hoping it'll be better tom....

Yes, it's difficult to realize how wiped out you can be after surgery! I think that most people think that they're going to have the surgery and then their "trials" will be over, but it's just the middle of the process, really.
Also, I didn't get such nice post-op instructions or exercies as you did. I just got a sheet of "don't do this." xxx

Yeah I knew it was going to a slow recovery and I have to be patient, especially as I'm always on the go. I just didn't expect all the gas and bruising side of things! Now that's calming down, I'm experiencing the other general post op things such as tender tummy, itchy pulling skin sensation around incision and exhaustion.
Although I'm up and about pottering, I'm scared of doing too much to overdo things. I cooked my 6yr old tea earlier and filled the saucepan slowly with little jugs of water to cook his pasta and instead of draining the pain, I used a slotted spoon to drain spoonfuls of it into a bowl so I'm being good😉Just have to think first....
I've refrained from getting the sweeper out despite hating the dust on my floors! Hubby will do it later😉Along with ironing the school uniform and cooking dinner, poor thing!
