Five months and still having upper left abdominal pain

My upper left abdominal pain started in June and I'm about at my wits end! I am on painkillers from my doctor but the constant pain is starting to make me very depressed, anxious, and irritable.

Symptoms:

- A constant sore ache in the upper left abdomen near the ribs that sometimes goes to my back and halfway down my left side.

- A sore ache in the upper right abdomen that comes and goes

- Rumbling, squishy/wet noises in my stomach from time to time, especially after eating a big meal

- Headaches (this could be from the painkillers though as they seem to occur when I take my meds)

- VERY sore when I first wake up around the left ribcage

Very little nausea. Very little heartburn. My bowel movements are healthy and normal. I am eating fine. I do not feel bloated or full after meals. I do not feel sick or weak.

I've had an ultrasound, bloodwork, and h pylori test. All fine.

I am waiting to see a gastro specialist. Does anybody have any idea what this could be? I am leaning towards hernia but not sure.

Before this started, I was drinking apple cider vinegar for many months as I heard it helps digestion. I fear I may have "burned" my stomach or digestive tract as I drank it straight (didn't mix it with anything). Anyone heard of this happening? I also used to be a very heavy beer drinker and wonder if my stomach is beat up from years of drinking.

Just at the end of my rope here. Tired of the constant pain. I am hoping the GI doc can give me some answers.

I’ve been on an organic diet, I noticed if I eat out my stomach hurts on the left upper side. I was wrongly

diagnose with gerd. I once in a while get it but not to that Bad. I have

To admit I was in pain for also a year with everything being cleared. If you drink apple cider which is good for you, make sure you drink it with water, not just straight up like a shot. Eating a lot of vegetables and avoiding red meat has helped a lot.  Half of tea spoon of turmeric powered has been helping also. I mixed it with my smoothies and dishes, blends nicely.  Make sure

To keep yourself hydrated though or else you’ll be

Constipated. Eating avocados helps when you’re constipated or eating A fried egg lightly coated with coconut oil. Drinking Aloe vera without sugar has helped. I can give you a whole list. Eat fruits in the mornings, avoid ice burg lettuces.  Spinach, kale and Roman lettuce are healthier with difference peppers and mushrooms. For dinner eat Paultry but welled cooked. The only seafood I eat is shrimp. Coconut milk, cashew milk are always in my fridge when I’m making smoothies. Avoid milk, it’s hard on our sensitives stomachs. Chew you food real well. Drinking a warm drink helps out too after eating. Avoid cold drinks.  I started with a high h pylori and came down through the months since I had an infection from a tooth. It’s tough but you can make it without medicine. Natural medicine has worked for me.  Avoid taking a lot of pain medicine, it’s really bad for the stomach linings and so are cold medicines.

    Hey guys,

I have finally fixed my issues. I had the exact same issues as most of you for 6 months!: constant upper left center abdominal pain, mine was right where the ribs meet in the middle and slightly left of center, back aches, stool color changes, I was also burping up food a lot (regurgitating). I had an h-pylori test done which was negative. the doc put me on prilosec which did nothing. I thought I had pancreatic cancer from looking at Google so much. I went back to the doc and told him it wasn't working, he told me to switch to Nexium..... nothing. I was getting angry that he kept prescribing me PPI's when they weren't working, I still had that nagging pain in my upper abdomin. The third time I went back I told him to run tests and he said "it's not about running more test, it's about getting you on the right prescription". So he prescribed me PANTOPRAZOLE (Protonix). It's basically an amped up PPI that covers a wide range of symptoms... from what I've read. I took it, and 4 days into it, I didn't have pain. I thought it was just a good day, which I've had before. But every day after... NO PAIN and stools were back to normal! I guess I had extreme GERD which was finally cured by a stubborn doctor lol. I'm so happy to not be worried about some kind of cancer every day, it was seriously driving me crazy. So ask about Protonix for real! I know it's long winded, but I read so many forums with no answers, it seemed like the originator just would stop posting with no insight! Well, this worked for me when nothing else would! Good luck guys

Any other symptoms such as nausea or weight loss that you remember? I'm currently on protonix as well and the location of your pain sounds identical to where mine currently is: LUQ - below left peck, under the ribs.
