how long can flair up last 3 weeks now really getting me down

I've had mine be continued on and off for 8 months last year it would just settle then flare up again then it finally settled thank god. I ended up seeing my doctor but it had settled then. this is a horrible disease . do you do baking soda or borax soaks keep the area moisturised . and clean after every visit to toilet. if you sweat clean and change underwear. you have to be very vigilant
