    Hi teri91864,

I am so sorry to hear your having a hard time by pelase know your not alone. About a month ago I got a really sharp, burning paige on a right side rib above my breast and just off of my sternum. Ever since the pain comes and goes and is there more then it's not. Usually the pain only really upsets me if I touch/push on the spot, move my arm the wrong way or lift something heavy but this morning I woke up to pain as I must have been sleeping funny. I also have had health anxiety and this all really scares me. I had 2 doctors say I have it and 1 say I don't so it's really hard to know and make you feel confident of your diagnosis when you get told different things. I have had a chest X-ray and was clear so trying to not worry but it is very hard.

Hi thank you I hate this it seems I can't win and it is always something ... my costo pain puts me in such panic mode and when I get a flare up I have to take tylnol or something my problem is that I don't want to over use it because then it won't work very frustrating ... I have been to the er several times seen a cardiologist in august and all was well but when this happens I think something is wrong I hate taking pills so usually I do hot cold therapy and if I have to take Advil when it is really bad but can't tolerate it so again tylnol and now I will have to take it as a preventative for today very very frustrating

It is very frustrating.... I haven't been using neurofen because I was also recently diagnosed with gastritis so anti-inflammatories I need to avoid if I can. So far I'm managing ok, but can get very frustrating. I'm glad your cardiologist investigations were good. Try not to worry, I do find my Costo is worse when I worry.

Hi sorry about your pain this condition is very frustrating as mine is now chronic and worse in the winter summer is my best time as I have them but not as frequent as soon as the winter or temp change it acts up I hate taking tylnol but when I first get the flare up I have to take something first 2 days to keep it at bay. So I just took one and have my hot water bottle going to work hopefully it will be low ache I just have to be careful as said previously I find Advil and such irritate me so I can't take them and only do so when I can't take it otherwise it is tylnol I wish there was some dr out there who understands this as I have gone to the er several times in the last 5 years and so so grateful it is not cardiac. But I would like to find a dr who understands also I am going to have to go back to message and physio again as well as trying to eat omega 3 and anti inflammatory foods I am a big cucumber fan

I totally feel your pain because I too suffer with anxiety. Ive been to ER many times. Because pain in chest burns some times and really hurts. Im sure my anxiety makes it worse. In addition to Costro I also have Fibro Myalgia.  Don't stop questioning your dr. Ruling out the bad stuff is always a very good thing. Theres also an all natural gel called Arnica gel thats great for inflammation and muscle pain. It def helps. I do soft ice packs, and Neurontin from my Dr helps too. Hope this helps. Hang in there!!!!! So Grateful for this site...smile smile smile

I know what your feeling when you lay on a side of your body and your muscles and your Coccos will betwern the bones will rub together that it knocks the wind out of you. I take a baby aspirin before bed. I know what you mean about the whole e.r thing and not knowing if it's a heart attack or a flare up of the cocc,s a heart attack pain don't wander, it will shoot up your arm and pain in jaw , and most of the time there's body sweat, and it don't hurt to have it checked out , it's better to be safe than sorry. I had this coccs for about 15 years, and never really understood it til I had a female young Dr tell me about it ,wrote down the name of it and did the research , and the stories were about me and how I felt. Smh but like I said every night I take a baby aspirin, and I take Advil only 1 when I go into work and work 8 hrs on my feet.,
