Flare up of bladder

Hi I was prescribed HRT and mirabegron for symptoms of menopause and irritated bladder. This worked brilliantly and symptoms went including the burning sensation of needing to pee all the time. I stopped drinking alcohol but a week ago on my birthday I had few glasses of wine and I have suffered ever since with irritated bladder; no UTI!! I am so anxious this will never go again. Anyone else tell me how long their flare ups last??

oh no, are you still suffering this ..
did doctor rule out a UTI ..
i use to get what i thought was a UTI but in the end i was given Oxybutinin tablets as it was same symptoms but actually a sensitive bladder and muscle spasm ... I took one when this occured ' and it eased and went '
i dont get it now ' post meno' or havent ' touch wood '
i avoid anything acidic.. Ie.. Carton orange juice use to cause me issues, always after a drink of it next day, raw bladder even blood ( years ago until we identified this was the cause )
' Freshly squeezed only now' and also i dont drink alcohol either ..
hope you get some relief soon

i would be seeing the doctor again ..
not nice to suffer with this ...
but if youve been and they said no UTI .. Not sure what to say.
they normally do a quick test with a test stick if you have a sample or ask you to pop to loo so doctor can pop a test dip urine stick in it, then they send the sample to lab aswell .. ( well did me several times when i was in UK)
i had to see a specialist, and have a cystoscopy alsorts and it turned out to be the carton orange i was drinking on occasion, and menopause etc .
i dont know about mirabregron, i never heard of it ..
oxybutynin was given to me by the doctor for the discomfort and muscle spasm and constant urge, that also occured due to menopause and hormone decline .. I kept thinking it was UTI or Cystitis and when he checked etc it wasnt, it was sensitive menopause hormonal bladder ..
' Spasms '
your doctor would of picked up if it was bacteria on the dip stick test..
hope you feel better soon 😥

yes i remember your like me, use vaginal HRT for discomfort.
i been using estriol Ovestinon ovules since sept, via gyno for dryness and also the urethra dryness .. Its helped no end..
i only use one ovule a week ( i halve them ) use twice a week and in between i use a premeno duo ( non hormonal ) ovule ( half of one or twice a week) its worked wonders for me .
gyno suggested the estriol cream too and said always put a little bit on outer bits, especially skin around vag entrance as that gets thin and painful too.
its worked so well for me.. Cant take normal HRT but i was prepared to try this only as couldnt bare it anymore ..
i have full well woman check annually with my Gyno so well monitored annually ( smears, 3D breast scan, Transvaginal Scan, Colposcopy etc)
Dont suffer Margaret get it sorted as if it was a uti it will get worse ..
cranberry juice or cranberry tablets may help .
