Flare Up, what helps me

Hi ladies!

Just wanted to share what has helped me get by during a recent flare up and what I noticed leads to flare ups.

It all started when I began using dial soap (absolutely AVOID Dial soap by ALL MEANS! It will dry you out completely). It was all I had on hand at the moment, but I normally always use Dove sensitive. I didn't notice the irritation right away but over the course of 2 weeks, I found myself itiching and scratching relentlessly and I couldn't figure out why.. then it hit me: Dial soap. I kind of felt stupid for ever even thinking it was okay to use down there, because even after using it on your arms/everywhere else, when you rinse it off, it leaves sort of a dry feel over all. So, I should've known this was way too harsh for my lady bits. A side note, my LS has been at bay for the past year or so, I get a flare up very rarely and when I do, it clears up over night or within the day after I catch it and treat it. In the beginning of my diagnoses, I was very careful not to put ANY soap down there but since we've been doing so great, it sort of slipped my mind while using the soap. Hence how I ended up with a flair up with Dial.

Another thing I want to touch on is masturbation. I noticed masturbation irritates my LS completely. Unless you get up and shower off right after, it will flare up. At least for me. And if you are someone that masturbates, try spacing out the time in between each session because daily or every other day will gradually cause flair ups and you will notice it will small itchy bumps first then a full on itch feast.

Anyway, once I put 2 & 2 together, I tossed the soap and im very conscience about the time between I do self pleasure.

Once I was able to distinguish what caused my flair ups, I worked on clearing it up.

First take a WARM bath, I don't put anything it it but WATER, thats all you need. Soak in the water for about 15-25m to make sure your well moisturized down there. Then....

I used apple cider vinegar (I use Braggs and make sure it has the "mother" in it, it will say on the bottle). And make a 50/50 ratio with the ACV and some water. Next, some organic coconut oil. I have two little containers I keep these in in my bathroom. First, I applied the ACV with a cotton ball, dont completely soak your lady bits, it doesnt have to be dripping wet, just lightly dab. Then go over it with the coconut oil. I get in between my lips especially because this is what dries out first and can become uncomfortable. The ACV may sting just a bit but trust after that feeling wears off, its relief! I just continued this every time I used the bathroom, once I got out the shower, every time I felt a little itch, I would dab on some ACV. The next morning? No itching! And the bumps have definitely gone down in size, should be gone completely tomorrow.

I have clobestal and another ointment my derma prescribed to me, but these are way too harsh for me, and they mostly sting. I rather use a natural, at home remedy before turning to these.

I've heard of some ladies putting the ACV mix into a spray bottle and misting themselves after each bathroom visit, this might help some of you.

I hope this bit of information can help someone else through a flare up
