Flareup

Having another flareup but this time as well as the vaginal pain and soreness I'm having pain in my lower back and twinges of pain in my sides. Has anyone had pain that radiated to their back and sides in a flareup?

    HI Carol,

I haven't experienced side pain in reference to the LS, but years ago I've experienced several kidney stones episodes that involved high level pain on the sides, and the lower back side are where the kidneys are.I'm not a doctor/medical professional but my thought is that you might want to get checked out for a UTI that has gotten really in deep? for something to do with kidney infections.

Honey, unless someone else very quickly lets us know that they've experienced specifically LS pain in those areas, I'd call your "ask a nurse" call center for better intel and get started on something. You DON'T want kidney infections to get out of control. Drink tons of water until you can get checked out, take grapefruit seed extract or any other strong anti-bacterial. Hope all goes well for you soon, Carol.

      Hi Nancy,

Yes a potential UTI did cross my mind . Thankyou and I will get it checked out for sure.

      Carol,

Are you passing urine? Nancy is correct and I hope you have consulted with your doc or a medical person. Also cranberry juice (no sugar) or grapefruit juice (if you can't get the seed extract) is probably good too. You don't see any blood? I have not had anything like you're saying but I have had several kidney stones and that's bad pain, sometimes so bad, you HAVE to call 911. Let us know.

Buscuit..I didn't really think it might be to do with LS . I've had plenty of flareups but not with the side pain. I just wasn't sure.

I've been passing urine with no problem. Can't get to see a doctor until Tuesday.

The pain has subsided somewhat. Oh I know kidney stones are dreadful pain. I'm no stranger to it either since 5 yrs ago I had to call 911 for excrutiating pain when an ulcer had perforated. Had emergency surgery.

Anyway thankyou and I will surely let you know.

Ah..thanks for keeping us up to date, Carol - the thought of any of us online friends having even MORE pain is just not fair - no....

So, no I don't suspect kidney stones because those are usually one side OR the other. but your kidney area pain across your lower back made me think of kidney infection of some kind. I don't really know more than that.. except until Tuesday perhaps you can get some OREGANO oil - either extract to take a drop in water or what I've started is to take gel caps as a constant preventative for low grade UTI. It seems that LS that affects our anus makes it a bit hard not to get poo in an open sore every now and then. hope you keep feeling better.

hello, I haven't had to deal with the pain you describe, but I always speak to my GP as soon as I feel worried about anything new. I would advise you to do the same. Good luck.

    HI CAROL

i haven't been on the discussion lately but i just read your comment by curiosity and had to tell you that i've been using something thats changed the word pain and flareup , it's like a miracle in a jar , i'm hoping this is going to help you like it did me , it's

OZONATED OLIVE OIL FROM ( HYPEROXY tm ) it´s been amazing no more itching and no more pain , it´s just olive oil that has been oxygenated ( with oxygen ) , nothing else of ingredients , unless you are allergic to olive oil it's worth trying , for back pain that i've had forever and not due to any infection or UTI and that doctors never related it to LS I HAVE DISCOVERED ,,,, MSM ORGANIC SULFUR FROM HAPPY BODY STORE they have cleanest sulfur , its also instant relief , i have come to understand that im very minerals deficient , i also have HASHIMOTO THYRODITIS , i started taking iodine instead of prescription meds and so many of my symptoms have vanished , so look into mineral deficiencies , you might be surprised , i'm also not a doctor and these things above have helped me find a great life away from pain and discomfort , the best of luck to you !

      HI CINTHIA !

the ozonated olive oil is directly on the LS AREA actually this stuff i cant get enough its good for almost everything from skin rash to growing new hair , hemeroids etc... , i'm about to bath in it 😃 but the great part its safe and oxygenated plz take a look on some reviews and how to preserve it , i'm not alone loving it you'll see . the SULPHUR IS AN ESSENTIAL MINERAL that so many are deficient of and its sooo amazing you could use everyday by oral way , also look at the HAPPY BODY STORE VIDEO , to show you how to ingest it , theres a specific way to drink it , ((( it's very bitter )))) so you have to chug it , BUT IT WILL BECOME your new ( ANY) pain reliever i guaranty ! the best of luck ! i hope i answered your question .

Mimi, aren't you the person who was drinking baking soda to control/cure LS?

When did you start with using this type of olive oil and taking sulfur?

Where did you get the information that MSM would help with LS or are you taking it for your thyroid? Not sure I understand what you are saying.

yes , i am still taking baking soda thats tight but not every day anymore , like i said i was mineral deficient and bicarbonate if sodium is also a mineral , the baking soda helped me clean an infection that was causing me to flare back then , i got rid of it with the backing soda and sits baths with MSM PLUS BAKING SODA , it helped me soo much , after my daughter started med school she told me about this olive oil with oxygen , i had NEVER herd of it , but many doctors approve it and suggest it , after looking into it i found so many good comments that i tried it , this thing actually restores damaged skin and cellulite, helps heal scars and ones due to tatoos , THE SULFUR I USE FOR BACK ACHES , and now i use it for most pains like headaches , muscle pain , etc... i lived with back pain most of my life due to multiple pregnancies and a bad fall , prescriptions did nothing just created more inflamations for me . like i said i'm not a doctor these are my experiences , good luck I hope it' s clearer now . you should look it up .

So basically it's the ozonated olive oil that helps your LS? I have searched online and have only found medical articles re it being used for oral lichen planus . Can you please provide a link of where you got your info (or send a PM in case the link is blocked?) I see many oils for sale, but would have no idea which is considered better quality. Did try to read a medical article on ozonated oils but it was difficult to understand as the English was not great.
