Flashes

I know I have posted a bit about my eyes but I suffer with anxiety as it is and these are not helping. I am experiencing flashes in my eyes all a variety of colours some white, black, blue but look like glitter because it is quick. Some can be quite strong and again others look like glitter. Does anyone know what this could be? And is it to do with my eyes or could it be something else?

Thank you.

It could be a variety of things including migraines or maybe floaters. Suggest seeing a doctor.

If you’ve had a eye exam and they can find nothing wrong don’t worry. I suffered from panic attacks and used to have flashes like that. They said it was pre-migraine symptoms. I never got the headache but I would see green, blue, silver sparkles, specs, etc. Take a Tylenol and relax, it’s ok

I would think this could be ocular migraines which can cause different colors and almost a blurriness. This would be followed by a headache. Or vitreous degeneration which is  flashes of light caused by the gel inside the eye pulling away from the retina. A lot of times it will seem like fireworks when you have the flashes. Most people have "floaters" in their vision as well. This is a normal process for the gel inside the eye to become more liquified as we age. However it is best to see an eye doctor as they will make sure the gel pulls away w/o causing a retinal detachment. Hope this helps.
