fleshy/clear looking bump on side of penis head

I'm a bit perplexed by whatever this is.

I've had it about two weeks now. It keeps coming and going throughout each day, shrinking/growing or even disappearing. When it disappears, it looks like it does so into a slit running the same direction as the bump. It isn't painful or itchy, I just happened to notice it. If anyone could provide insight on what this is I'd be very grateful.image

So when you say it disappears is this when you penis is at its most flaccid?

So bumps like this are similar to cysts that appear on the shaft of the penis, they are most often caused by rough sex, constant masturbation or pressure applied to the upper-part of the shaft or the head of the penis itself.

Penis enlargement practices such as using a pump type, or manual 'natural' methods of penile enlargement can frequently cause this .....

Sometimes it will also be there when it is flaccid as well, but not as big of course. It's also not always there when I get hard, sometimes it will be there flaccid and then disappear when it gets hard.

You may be on to something with the constant pressure idea, I had been edging a lot prior to first seeing this and if I grip my penis tighter and try to pump up the head more I can cause it to pop out more again.

If this is a cyst like you say, what should I do to make it go away? Do any std bumps inflate/deflate like this throughout the day as well? I wasn't able to find anything about that online

      Greatly appreciate your response.

I masturbated today after a few days without seeing it and saw it come back, along with two other smaller, vein-looking ones on the other side of that divider part of the head (pic attached). After I was done, it subsided and was gone again.

Online it says cysts are hard/firm, but these bumps are soft. Is this any cause for concern? Still no pain or itching. image

The inflation and disappearing thing would seem to be very unusual - the only medical specialist that may understand what you have going on is a Urologist.

And again, STD related issues are also a complete unknown, and certainly something I have not heard of before.

In terms of you 'pumping up' it is difficult to envisage what you are actually doing: this is potentially the cause of what you have going on and I would therefore urge you to stop the practice entirely, at least until the whole issue is resolved.

In practical terms, at the very least change your grip, try different areas on the shaft itself, but certainly it sounds like you need to abstain from what you had been doing.

Essentially, while I have described what you have as cyst like in behaviour it may or may not actually be a cyst as, again, I have never known of a cyst being on the head of the penis before.

Again this would be something a Urologist can explain to you.

In terms of what I would recommend you do in terms of masturbation the thing you need to avoid is causing a permanent weakness in and around the head of your penis - if this existed any where else on your body than yes you could say it was something surgery could sort out, but this is something I would urge that you need to avoid.

So, from my understanding of Cysts these take a great deal of time to repair themselves, I had one on the shaft of my penis and it took in-excess of 8 months to fade away.

That is, the repair process on the penis is a very time consuming process - unless you can envisage yourself not masturbating for 6 months or potentially much longer the best approach would be to seek the help of a Urologist

Again, this further suggests what you have going on is part of the masturbation practices you have on a regular basis - an inadequate term for what you are getting would be 'pressure bumps' - you need to abstain from your regular form of masturbation AND seek the help of a Urologist, otherwise the risk you run is that you will create a permanent weakness in the head with the potential outcome that you may not be able to masturbate at all
