Flickering light in vision?

Posted , 1 user is following.

I recently did a post on here for the visual disturbances I have had fir years but wanted to post a new discussion about this .

It seems as though when I am in certain lit rooms like a bathroom I am getting this occasional what seems to a flickering effect in my vision. It isn't constant but it seems to be happening enough to be concerned about. I have had similar disturbances before but they always seemed to go away. I have my eye exam due in just over a weeks time and will definitely mention this to my optician.

I know flashing lights can be a sign of a detached or torn retina but my last eye exam was showing as normal. It is concerning and is giving me bad anxiety. I don't have any of the symptoms of a detached retina and this is not something that happens outside in day light or in most lit rooms.

How concerned should I be about this? It's usually fine but like I said it happens enough to be concerned about. I don't have any flashes or a sudden appear of floaters.
