Flickering lights in vision post injury

Hi,

5 years ago i suffered a sports injury which left me with some retinal/subretinal scarring, and some peripheral vision loss. I trcently saw two opthals, who both said it looked stable (it has been since the injury, and resolved w/o treatment). The scarring and some lattice degeneration remains. However, I have ways gotten flickering in that eye when i looked at something bright (in area corresponsing to injury) and when i close my eyes the flickering persists. It is a bit like, in rhythm, that dancing apple screen saver. I also get waves of lights and occasionally pinprick flashes. They ate not really noticeable unless i close my eyes. also, they tend to disappear after ive been in the dark for like 30 mins. I Know a role of RPE cells is absorbing stray light, so i thought perhaps a lack of those from the injury could leave light 'bouncing around' and cause rhe flickering? But then I am at a loss to explain the more pinprick like flashes.

has anyone else had these symptoms long after an injury? What would be there cause/is there any reason to worry? When i raised it with my opthal, he was not troubled by it
