You never mentioned how long you have been taking Mert for sleep. I have been taking Mert for about 5 months. I started on 15mg but a few week ago cut down to 7.5. I find I'm getting the depression and anxiety back but now only 1/2 as bad as before. hmm funny how that works.  I'm going to take 7.5 for a few more weeks and then I'm going to quit it cold turkey. I know that's not reccomended but at only 7.5 it may be doable. I have extreme morning anxiety too so I have to come up with a plan and I know that means I have to get out of bed.

There's a different antidepressant that works on the morning anxiety but I'm not sure of the name. Please ask for that one because it should help.  Hope you get rid of this (Black Dog) too. I think it's time for me to man up and stop with this crap.

I am still on 7.5 mirt pm which does help me get to sleep but i am terrible in mornings with feeling low and depression as i wake.  I have been told by dr that it is anxiety and depression.   Do you know which med will, help, the mornings?  I am too scared to drop the mirt as even low doses can cause withdrawal which is seemingly not nice.

Yes it is early days yet. Give it three weeks at least before you make assessment.   I find it does give a sleep but not helping depression. Too low a dose they say.  Still need something for the anxiety.

SSRI ADs will help with the mornings.  You do not have to stop the mirt - though doctors are reluctant to allow one to take both (probably because they fear "seratonin syndrome"wink.   I take both.

Seems i cannot tolerate the side effects of ssris, tried a few without success. Bad nausea and anxiety. Unable to function

I have read some of your other posts on this site, and I see that you are being or have been treated by a psychiatrist.  As you told someone else they are the experts.  Sorry, but I cannot compete.
