Floaters and blue field entoptic phenomenon symptoms of migraine?

Hi

I’ve never been a migraine sufferer so I’m unfamiliar of what comes along with migraines. I’ve read about auras but it seems like those are optical illusions.

So earlier this year, one day all of a sudden I noticed floating spots..I came to realize that they were eye floaters. I went to the eye doctor and retina specialist and they said everything looked fine and that I just see eye floaters now. Then I also notice blue field entoptic phenomenon..the fast moving little things that I see when I look up in the sky. The retina specialist also said that that’s normal too.

I’m just trying to figure out why I see the floaters and BFEP now. I see them everyday. Are they symptoms of migraines? I don’t have headaches though. Am I having silent migraines everyday without headaches?..so I’m just seeing floaters and BFEP?

I've had migraines for many years but tend not to have visual aura. My daughter has ocular migraines though. She sees coloured rain drops. It lasts about 20 minutes and then she's really tired.  She gets no headache but does get a very upset stomach. Do you have any post drome symptoms e.g. Fatigue, low mood etc? They would be indicative of an ocular or silent migraine. It's hard to know because everyone's symptoms are different. Perhaps keep a diary that might show you if you're having any pre or post drome symptoms that would signal that it was indeed an ocular or silent migraine. Hope this helps xx

I don’t think I have any pre or post drome symptoms..but that seems confusing. Like after a whole day of working, I get tired/fatigue  but of course everyone gets tired after a long day. So I don’t get how I distinguish a pre/post drome fatigue and just normal fatigue. And then if I’m eating too much junk food, I get an upset stomach but that’s common for anyone to get a stomach ache after eating junk food. This is why I’m so confused about what’s a migraine and what isn’t.

And for the floaters, it’s not like I see them for only 20min. I see them throughout the day especially when I’m outside. But like if I’m in my room all day, then I barely see/notice them. Same thing for BFEP.

Another thing I want to mention..the first time I noticed the floaters it was in mid-March and I was outside looking down at the sidewalk. But I remember earlier that day that I was having a little bit of a neck-ache..but I just thought it was probably because I slept weird so it made my neck achey. I’m not sure if that’s related to floaters.

Also, around May-June, I was having like pressure feeling around my face/eyes/forehead. Then around July-August the pressure seemed to have gone away on its own.

But I still saw floaters that whole time and I still see them now.
