No one can say whether you should or shouldn't worry without giving you a physical examination. But it sounds like your doc already did all the tests and ruled out anything 'serious'. That word makes me smile because it suggests that what we have is really just something trivial, which we all know ibs isn't.

However, your floaters did make me laugh because it reminded me of being the middle child and keep getting told off for leaving floaters in the loo! My dad finally came to my aid. Realising I wasn't eating enough fibre, my Number 2s were floating to the top!

The reason why I'm smiling now at the memory because dad started sprinkling bran on almost everything I ate, which was very infuriating when it was egg and chip night 😄

It makes sense that yours might also be floating because you might not be eating enough fibre

fibre. If, like me, fibre exacerbates your ibs symptoms, i wouldn't be rushing to add fibre to my diet. But it may be worth asking the forum for some nutritional advice.

I hope this helps...and I hope it made you worry a little less x

the more you monitor your BM the more you'll get worried and changes in BM I've experienced that myself during my IBS, as soon as I take my mind off my BM and how it looks things got better before I even noticed. You do not have anything serious, anxiety can cause all this, the main point is how to distract yourself and live normal without giving much attention to it.

g, confirm yourself if you qualify for IBS...in google search bar type google scholar, when you have it, type in rome criteria III. Take your time to digest it all...now IMO, the purpose of this "criteria" was to eliminate the "ruling out" test procedures which were "costly"...however, some health care systems yet do quality testing. One recent patient asked why might her IBS C stools might be "stuck" due to inflammation...and clearly stated "bloods" were "normal"?? what the heck is the meaning of "bloods"?? CBC? "most likely"...but only CRP Assay is for "inflammation"? Patient most likely doesn't know what was included in the lab work up. If your thyroid was OK, the TSH assay was performed..perhaps with a few others...but this ins't a routine assay...routine assay is CBC...and physicians look for "markers" that might indicate further needed tests.

On this website, and within IBS there are been a few with IBS that have claimed total remission...all of them with an almost identical protocol..JPT and Maurice come to mind cannot think of the "id's" of the others. Ann
