Flomax intial dose

I'm 56, 5'5", 135lbs, BPH

I took my first and only .4mg dose of Flomax 3.5 days ago. I only took the one dose because I had bad light-headedness and low BP. My doc told me to discontinue for now.

My question is -- how long does it take for Flomax to leave the system? 3.5 days later I am still light-headed and my BP is on the low side for me (though neither is as bad as the first day).

Found this on the FDA website: Because of absorption rate-controlled pharmacokinetics with Flomax® (tamsulosin hydrochloride) capsules, the apparent half-life of tamsulosin hydrochloride is approximately 9 to 13 hours in healthy volunteers and 14 to 15 hours in the target population.

So it should be out of your system. Correlation is not always causation right It may or may not be related. Not drinking enough can cause those symptoms too.Either way those symptoms aren't worth guessing about I'd follow up with your regular Dr.

I was on Flomax for about 10 years before my recent Urolift procedure. I'm happy with the Urolift, stopped the Flomax . Had tinnitus ringing in ears for most if the ten years but necer associated it with the Flomax . Took about 10 dats yo get the flomax out of my system completely. Yours will be quicker for sure . My tinnitus dissapeared about 4 days ago. Amazing.
