Flowers for nhs staff

I want to give some flowers (relatively cheap ones) to an NHS psychologist who is leaving, for amazing support and treatment while we worked together. Is this allowed? I have been in mental health services for 17 years and she is the most helpful professional so I obviousy want to thank her. She is a wonderful person in my opinion. I also have a card for her. I know (she told me) in the past patients have given her gifts she wasn't allowed to accept although I think they were expensive?I really don't want her to reject a few flowers. Please help.

Hi Sarah, flowers with a card, what a lovely thought. Don't worry about what the pen-heads say. Just do it - the gesture is where the treasure lays. It will be fine.

Hi, I would encourage you to write a heartfelt message with your card. Kind words go a long ways to validate a person. Something to think on, and the words of what she has done for you are a forever gift. Maybe a beautiful single rose would be allowed and would be a lovely and loving gesture. Present both at the same time. Best wishes.
