Hi Donna. So do you think that the flu shot somehow triggered the shingles outbreak? I am no doctor but I don't see how one could tie in to the other. I can see that the staff infection could lower your immune system. Stress is a big trigger for shingles. I have now had shingles three times and I have to say I am so sorry that you have them. We have a PA from the states on here her name is Merry and she is our guru on shingles. If she sees this she will help you I am sure. Diane b

My elderly mother received her flu vaccination on April 27th. On May 18th, the tell tale fist signs of shingles appeared. We rarely go outside. This is the only occasion that could have triggered it. Now very painful, I am extremely angry that we were not warned that this could happen. Coincidence? I doubt it. People should be very wary about this year's vaccine.
