Fluoxetine 20mg, peoples progress please

Hi having found this site at 3am this morning while laid awake with my heart racing and feeling like I may stop this medication. This site has given me hope to stick with it for at least 6 weeks so thank you but please can I ask people progress as all the messages are a while ago. Did this medication really make a difference? I suffer with the feeling of just existing and some days can be a battle. I practice mindfulness, being grateful, learning I am not my thoughts but there still appears to be an imbalance. I think the work I do may not help at times but I love what I do so want to build resilience. Any feedback or advice would be great please. Thank you 😊

The first few weeks are the worst as it is changing your brain chemicals,, which in turn affects the rest of your body physically. I assure you you'll be fine and to manage the side affects to the best of your ability until they start to fade. NHS website states it can take 6-8weeks to fully feel better but it depends on the severity/length of the illness. Depending on your situation like mine, it took 4 months to fully feel better. In the end they didnt work enough to continue but im glad i tried them. Stick with it!
