Fluoxetine 5 months setback

Hi,

My 18 year old daughter has been on fluoxetine for 5 months. Initially 20 mg and now 30 mg. She has had a change in mood in the last 2 weeks and now says she feels like she is back how she originally felt pre-meds. She's very short tempered at the moment and has lost her appetite one minute and ravenous the next. She gets agitated and walks a lot. Is high one minute and very low the next. She was doing really well. Is this normal and will it pass? Any support/help gratefully received. Thanks

I think she is experiencing a setback. I am 19 weeks now and during PMS time, I feel like I am at square one. it is VERY hard but then it slowly passes. I spoke to my doctor and she advised to see how I get on a few more weeks, and that this does happen as hormones fluctuate. Hope your daughter feels well soon too.
