Fluoxetine day 50...help

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi all,

I have been on 20mg fluoxetine for just over 7 weeks now. The last 2 weeks have felt almost normal. Since Saturday (3 days ago) I have had increase in anxiety, shakes, low mood, crying and sleep is becoming less again. Is this to be expected at this time, a blip or should I change?

Thank you

Its normal - its a blip. You'll get many of them and yes all symptoms come back. I had them throughout 6 months of recovery and beyond, but they get less intense. It'll go.

Thank you for replying. It's just so difficult to think positively when feeling like this. How long do they last?

There's no set time how long they last - could be a few days to a few weeks and more. Try to roll with them as you would a wave, and let them wash over you. They seem to be a necessary part of recovery.

Yes as soon as you're having a blip you immediately can't think straight and you become very negative and think inwardly. That's normal too. It will pass and as soon as you're feeling better your thoughts will turn outwards and be positive once more.
