Thanks for the positive advice. I can't remember when I first started Prozac but I think it had been at least 7months ago. It does make me feel a little tired and off balance at times but then again I'm also on Ativan and Gabapetin. So I'm not sure if its one or all of them at the same time causing those symptoms. Since the Prozac I do feel more mellow and less Anxious. That's what I'm using it for. I am back to doing some things I was nerves to do. I'm hoping I will stay stable and keep happy as I am now. I mean I am better than how I felt 7months ago. So something must be working.
Lately I have been napping more because of feeling slow and tired but at least I am still functioning and getting some things accomplished. I know its never gonna be perfect or 100% but as long as I can maintain I'm happy.
Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences with the meds. It makes me hopeful to hear the positive things.I pray that everyone has hope and comfort and peace of mind.

Hi Sharon. I'm so happy that you got to that place. I feel like I'm never going to be normal again. I have been on flux 20 mg for 5 weeks and now 40 mg for another 5. So 10 weeks and still feel horrible. I felt like I was getting better last week and then boom anxiety and depression hit me again. What was your experience and how many mg were you on

I know this is an old post, but i was just wondering when did the side effects actually go away. Ive got blurry vision, dizziness, foggy head, dry mouth and what feels like a brick in my stomach. Im trying i really am, my doc put me on fluoxetine nearly 9 weeks ago, then 2 weeks after started another so im on 40mg of fluoxetine a day, i called my dr the other day she's given me 10mg of fluoxetine incase i decide to reduce from 40 to 30, im off work and i just want to get better, should i wait for 12 weeks or reduce to 30mg, my heads really bothering me and it scares me.

For me things got slightly easier post week 4, then very slowly progressively better over the following weeks. I was on 20mg from the start and never changed my dose. It was beyond tough for the first 4 weeks for me, but people in this forum got me through it.
Hope it goes well for you. Cheers Craig

Thanks for the post, I'm starting week 11 tomorrow and this seems to be a slow process. I am laughing more however and have had more than a few moments of clarity and positive thoughts. I somehow realized the time was going to pass quick but the full effects of the med to be slow. I am.out of work and sleeping so much... that's the most of it no real side effects but as soon as I eat something I want to get right back in bed or the couch and nap. Does this also pass, do you remember getting back energy levels and less prone to oversleep... thanks again.. Mark

Thank u Sharon,
Needed to see yr post.
Iv been on Lovan for 3 1/2 weeks, started 10mg felt great for few days thenDr bumped to 20mg, at that time i also got diagnosed with an overactive thyroid so had to start meds for that too. The thyroid symptoms combimed with side effects of Lovan left me completely depressed, floods pf tears, confusion, foggy, unable to sleep etc so i dropped back down to 10mg, felt great for fee days then bam, feel hopelessly distraught again, listless & can barely think straight. I had read that this is common & not to give up but i uave to tell u, today, im struggling. Feel like the meds dont work for me. I dont usually suffer depression, Anxiety yes however i have never felt so empty & depressed in my life as i do today!

Hi. I just started these today. I have tried them before and came off them due to my anxiety being heightened about X10 on them and i couldn't handle the side effects. How long did it take for them to start easing off? The whole 6 months?
Thanks
Debi
