Fluoxetine vs Mirtazapine

Which is better for Stress, Anxiety & Mild Depression, I will be taking it for these main things + Emetophobia. I have been on Fluoxetine now for 5 weeks but do not feel it is helping yet, my sleep & appetite is worse, along with the anxiety. My doctor has now suggested trying Mirtazapine if the Fluoxetine doesn't work out. Thanks

Thanks for the reply Barbara, I'll give it a try if the Fluoxetine doesn't work out, I've felt sicker then ever with the Fluoxetine & am under weight & hardly sleeping so the Mirt might not be such a bad option for me.

DEFINITELY take the Mirtazapine! It will help a ton.It didn't even take that long to kick in for me. I'm sleeping great now & my appetite has improved so much. (too much, lol) When I go thru extreme anxiety, I cannot sleep or eat. It's a horrible feeling, So I know what you are going thru.

      Best of luck to you!
