Flying with Fibro

Well in a few hours I'll be heading for the airport and getting on a plane to head for the states to renew my vows with my husband and see the inlaws (his side of the family wasn't at our wedding a decade ago for reasons of their own, but now have the chance to be there for the renewal).
At any rate, I have no idea what to expect with the flying and the fibro. Last time we flew was 4 years ago and it was its normal painful deal (seats to small, not enough leg room, and the general deal of annoying smells).
In the past year, things have gotten so much worse for me when it comes to sitting down (I can't do it without being in constant pain), I'm actually scared about how the flying is going to cause a major flair and I can't afford the flair as we're only down there for 7 days and a major flair can last me longer then that.
I'm not on any pain medication to speak of and advil, etc does nothing to take the edge off of the pain to start with so I'm actually not sure how its going to go. We've a car booked because can't get around without one and my husband can't legally drive down there anymore, so its up to me to be able to drive us around.
We do have assistance at the gate between planes because we have a service dog with us (my husband's) so I'll have a wheelchair to get me from one point to the other. But that doesn't help with the end point of the trip, unfortunatly.
I've taught his service dog to lean against my lower back and act as a heating pad (as that does help to degrees, but is useless while flying or driving), and he does counter balance and bracing for my husabnd (he can counter balance for me, but we're the wrong ratio for to do it 100% safely).
I've looked at various blogs, sites, etc about flying and yes I know were all different and thus react differently - so just wondering what some here do to help with the pain and to maybe calm a flair.
Drugs are NOT a option nor is that other stuff that some people are so into (i'm allergic to that stuff and prefer to not end up in an american er if it can be helped).

Well that is a tough question. Have you asked your doc for a pain shot to numb the pain, before you go or tens machine. I'm not sure what the counter balance is for to keep maybe from falling. Lucky Dog🐈
My best guess is call for a car ahead to meet you at the airport when you arrive at ur destination and ask for the golf cart ride thru the airport. There are portors to help, with luggage always tip generously.
Also change seats when you get to the airport and fly first class if possible get the reclining chairs. They are so comfy. Bring hot packs for pain. The type used for skiers fold back pack and they automatically heat up,lasts for hours. Bring a neck pillow and your own Blankie. Most items are available at the airport stores kinda spendy.
great dog is he sitting with you? Sounds like a well trained heat pack!
Have a great trip. Lots of anti inflams and something to sleep thru the flight.
Hopexxx??

Perhaps business class, music, a dab of perfume beneath your nose
we even have wheelchairs that can be made available when you land

Have you tried salonpas or lidocaine patches. I often put them on before going to bed so I'm not as stiff in the morning. May work for the long flight.
The weather is turning here in the states. East Coast is getting colder. We are dropping to a high in the 30s next week. Bring lots of clothes to layer
