Focusing my eyes

Posted , 2 users are following.

I had a knee replacement in August 2019 Every since my eyes seem to have trouble sometimes focusing. Feels like when you have a new prescription and your trying to get used to it. I have an appointment to see my eye doctor soon. I have diabetes 2 but my sugar is under control.I have glaucoma in both eyes and have been somewhat lax in taking my eye drops since my surgery. Has anyone had these symptoms before. Scares me.

I would take your eyedrops regularly. Most of the time when blood sugars effect vision it can be reversed by stabilizing your blood sugar but with Glaucoma once you lose vision ( however small an amount) it is lost for good. There is no undoing vision lost from it. Which will show on the visual field that Id imagine your eye doctor does. This vision change could be unrelated to your Glaucoma,, it could be a change in Rx but I would not chance your vision by not taking the drops. Best of Luck!
