I was on the lowfodmap for 8 weeks, made no difference to me, the only

Things I discovered, were certain fruit and veg that I thought I had a problem with were high fodmap, I have changed them. I still have very bad

Stomachs. We're you told you were intolerant to wheat gluten and

Lactose, did you have tests done. I had tests done for lactose came back okay, but still avoid. I am at present taking more wheat to have a celiac test done in 4 weeks, last one was negative, said I wasn't eating enough wheat for correct reading?

I sent blood to York testing, came back mik, soya, egg white, doctor says test is false. You tried anything like that

Yes I have been gluten wheat and lactose intolerant for theist 10 years. Prior to diagnosis I had the barium enema, barium meal and an endoscopy. And the breath test for lactose. My diet is restricted enough without being on this Fodmap diet.  And I think patients on this diet should have the support of a dietitian.

I have coeliac disease so I already avoid gluten, but I find that I have fewer stomach symptoms if I follow the low FODMAP plan also. I don't know if it's just because my stomach is rubbishing at digesting things, and it's a fairly tummy friendly diet, or that I'm genuinely intolereant to lactose or something else as well. But I've found that eating this way offers me more relief from stomach cramps, tummy issues and feeling bloated/uncomfortable. It is fairly restrictve though as you say, and I do wish I could afford a dietician to check I'm getting everything I need to be healthy! Whatever you choose, all the best of luck!

I paid to see a dietician who did FODMAP with me and it drasticly reduced my gas and bloating but did nothing for constipation (in fact i got more constipated at the start because its low fibre).

i think its worth trying but you have to follow it probrely. theres lots online thats only half the info
