FOGGY HOLIDAY

Posted , 4 users are following.

well last night the itching and eyes went down, could not get any signal so went to bed.

Got up this morning at seven after a good sleep(surprised at that expected not too sleep).

this morning got the flowing feeling from feet up to shoulders, i am noting panicking, BUT when i get home will try and see a  doctor NO MATTER what the grizzly bear says.

Hopefully i can try and have a reasonably good day today, not going to overdo it, going to Berwick upon Tweed.

my wife had to visit doctor today so I tagged along.

I started the conversation with "I need you to tell me to stop worrying!". I've always had headaches so become concerned I may miss something important.

All good humoured, and a physiology lesson. And good agreement on why PMR and autoimmune stuff in general is very different to a simple back operation.

PMR and pred seems to gnaw away at us. Always changing a bit. Creating uncertainty. Wearing us down.

And the only way I know of to deal with that is talk about it. Here and with doctor.

And as the saying goes .... "don't panic". Though it can be quite hard some days.

Stand on the castle wall at Berwick, overlooking the golf course, and at low tide there's a large (50m dia) spiral rock formation visible a bit to the south. A bit like a labyrinth. It looked intriguing and I don't know how it formed.

thank you julian, if we are there at low tide i will do that, my hubby said if he goes with me to the doctor he will tell her that my imagination runs away with me

Hi Margaret, if hubby goes with you, the dr may tell him that it is not all in your imagination, I wonder what hubby will say then.  Anyway the only person you can control is you.  When you change then the people around you have no other option but to change as well.  It works, it really does.  Enjoy your holiday and go at your own pace.  Regards Pat

Good for you.  Go it alone (if you must!) and with us.  It's your body and your life.  Let hubby enjoy his grumpiness alone!!!

Morning Margaret you have try to have a floating day .Thats what helped to start with me when I was having anxiety over medication etc . That was one of the advices in the Dr Clare Weeks book . I could only do my interpretation of floating but it helped .I still do it because when I was diagnosed with PMR the thought of taking the meds let alone the initial side effects made me tense up .

Never force  your self to do anything ,think of gliding over the ground ,better than tensing up .Thats what I presume she meant .

Wish some of you lived in hertfordshire !to meet up for coffee would be good .Met Mrs O in Chertsy at their meeting ,but because of that wonderful road the M25 it took 2 1/2 hours to get there one hour of which was sitting in a que of traffic .

Hope the sun shines on you today ,think it is on us down here Carol

Carol, the times I wish that everyone could find others in their area so that they could meet up with them for a chat and a cuppa, especially when there isn't a nearby support group.  However, keep plugging that you are in the Hertfordshire area because one day someone nearby is bound to look in and find you, and, who knows, perhaps another little group will emerge!

The sun is beautiful here today, too, and the daffodils are in abundance.

      Keep "floating"!  xx
