I had one ovary, fallopian tube and large endometrioid cyst removed in 2013. No follow up has been done since. I was told i had severe endometriosis. Recently I started having the same horrible pain in the other ovary. It has since subsided to a dull ache. Shouldn't there have been regular follow up?

Hi, you are supposed to have follow up checks up at least every 6 months. I have been doing that since I had my laparatomy and I did another scan today after 6 months when i was actually diagnosed with a cyst as big as 5 cms again last october but today, there was no sign of it anymore. so its always good to check and see what is going on and I thank my doctor for not immediately sending me for surgery as i was not in any pain. but in your case since you are in pain now, don't ignore it and get a scan done soon.
