Follow up of my super anxiety

Hello everyone, Just talked to my doctor, gave me ativan to take, told me to only take it as needed. I wanted to say well that would be all the time. I don't think the doctors understand how we feel, or the fact that it is really scary to have your heart either race or have palpitations. I really don't know what's worse, the depress feeling or the racing heart. Have to really think on this one.

Hi Sharon, I'm taking it for anxiety but have been depressed because the anxiety has taken over my life, can't seem to do the things that I use to enjoy, loss interest in my hobbies and so on. Just feel like I'm stuck.

I know how that feels. I have been off work since September. Have suffered with anxiety for over 10 years but managed with citalopram until it stopped working for me. I now feel incredibly lonely and wonder if I will ever get my life back to the way it was. Its so frustrating! Hopefully the sertraline will work some magic! Increased today to 100mg I'm a little apprehensive x

Hi Jenna, how long have you been taking the sertraline? I'm only coming up to 4 weeks and increased today to 100mg. Problems so far include insomnia, feeling sick and an increase in anxiety hence the increase in dose.
I'm sorry to hear this is affecting your relationship has this been since starting sertraline or a more recent thing? I did experience this when I first started however it seems to have gotten better with time I'm not sure how this increase will effect things though x

Definitely don't think docs know. I'm sure we are all there guinea pigs. All they say is wellbeing and cbt. But for me therapy didn't work. Anxiety /depression is so hard to try and stay positive. I've been on setraline for 3 yrs it's good. But don't think I ever feel like my old self. I feel it takes control. And people that say don't let it. Cmon do they think we like it. Such a horrible illness, and it is an illness. But so many people have it these days. Life can be very hectic.

I'm on 200mg. It's helped a lot. But still get occasional bad days.
