Follow up to last post (unanswered)

Hi all, I posted a couple of weeks ago before I started my triple therapy but didn't get any responses to that post.

Just wanted to do a follow up now...

I am half way through my triple therapy.  I don't actually feel any better yet (although I don’t really expect to at this early stage) but the meds are actually fine, apart from weird dreams and a horrible taste in my mouth.

I just wanted to ask – when I finish the antibiotic part of it, shall I carry on with the Omeprazole?  As I'm assuming the gastritis and ulcerated patches in my stomach won't have healed during only 7 days of treatment.

I was also planning to start on probiotics again, the day after the antibiotics are finished.

But I am worried that either the omeprazole or the probiotics might affect the result of my re-test for the bug in 4 weeks time.  Is that possible?

The doctor really didn't say either way about whether meds could affect a test result or not...
