Food diary?

So I'm on my second week of Sertraline, been experiencing massive appetite decrease, I've never been a big eater anyway - always been a little under than average but a little worried about the long run.

I try to eat even when I'm not feeling hungry but it just makes me feel sick, does anybody have any suggestions?

Also does anybody keep a food diary whilst in this situation? Reckon that's something a doctor would also recommend just to keep an eye ect.

Going to buy some scales come pay day too so I can keep track on my weight myself.

I've always been skinny but I do love my food! I miss it

No problems ever with my appetite on ANY med, Kaytii (I am hardly skinny though). The big side effect I havewith sertraline, alfuzosin (uroxatral), simvastatin, and finasteride is tiredness/sleepiness. I also get dry mouth sometimes, but with all the meds and junk I eat, am not sure where that comes from. I was trying donepezil only twice, but stopped after a nightmare. I have had problems with nightmares for decades and din't want those.

I love food but have noticed i have lost my appetite a little-im not complaining! Today i have had 1 meal, but my love of chocolate hasn't vanished. If its something your worried about keeping a food diary would be a good idea. I have read that for the 1st 3-4 weeks you do lose your appetite and can lose weight in the process but afterwards it does return.

No food diary. The most precious gift a person can give me is LESS to do. I have long been overwhelmed by too many things to do and remembe

Been on sertraline for 2 weeks to combat suspect ed depression following a stroke.

I don't feel any less depressed just really chilled out but my appetite has reduced dramatically . I blame the esetraline but my gp says its because I am depressed. go figure.

    Oh dear!

My GP said that appetite can decrease because of Sertraline but it should be back around the 4 week mark at longest. If not.. well I'll let you know when I cross that bridge lol!

But she seamed pretty certain that it's only for short term.

Hope you're feeling a little better this morning
