Food phobic? :/

Im still awaiting diagnosis, but my fear of food now means I eat around 5 diffents foods. I avoid anything that I know causes me pain or trips to the loo and anything I have previously vomited back. I can eat 2 ham sandwichs per day every day with no ill effects, but know that I cant go on like this! Ive looked at the FODMAP diet and a lot of things on there send me running to the loo 2hrs later, so feel pretty stuck rolleyes I simply cannot work 40hrs a week and spend 35 of those in the loo, I would get sacked so its easier not to eat. Luckily I have no appetite most of the time. Has anyone else ended up like this?

So sorry you are feeling so ill and cannot eat. I do understand the fear of the consequences of eating but I have found not eating often makes the stomach cramps and loo trips can be as bad maybe because of too much stomach acid I don't know. Have you tried the white diet - white bread, white rice, potatoes, fish. It's boring but cutting out veg, fruit, salad etc can give your gut a rest.

My diet consists only of white foods to minimise the loo trips, aside from the ham, whic I often substitute for turkey. Anything else is a no no. Im just terrified of the consequences of eating sad

I'm having the same problems. Diagnosied with Crohns in early Decemeber and out on huge doses of Prednisolne. Just got the nod this week to start on Azathioprice so fingers crossed but am still waiting on a date for the dietician. However, in the meantime it's got so bad that i just keep stopping eating. Drinking plenty of nourishment drinks but although the flare up smptoms start disapearing after a few days i start getting dizzy etc from lack of food. Then i introduce food back and it's back to sqaure one. This morning someone asked me when my baby was due - i'm that swollen, even my mum thinks i look 6 months pregnant today! Anyway i've looked at the various diets that are meant to be good for you and it doesn't help much. It's confirmed that i'm also intolerant to wheat, rice, potaotes and eggs so the white food diet is out. Also i know that pretty much all fruit and veg start off a flare up - peeled, de-seeded, pureed doesn't matter. So i just don't know what to eat anymore. And i won't go into what such a pooor diet is doing to skin, naisl and hair etc.

Anyway i'm trying to only have a whinge if i can find a silver lining - trying to stay positive and all that. Anyway my swollen tummy got me a seat on the tube this morning (i was too embarressed to say i wasn't pregnant) redface

Bless ya sad feel free to have a moan. I'm beyond fed up. Today I have pushed the boat out and had a lacto free cheese toastie. I dread to think what effect that will have! My whole system is struggling through a lack of basic nutrients. I'm beyond tired, I look and feel like I could sleep for months sad Fortunately I don't bloat, if I did I would also use it to obtain a tube seat haha. It's not much fun this is it. I still haven't had my colonoscopy appointment thro so I'm non the wiser sad
