Foot cramps

I was reading that people were experiencing foot cramps on the day i was seeing my chiropractor. I too started having them on and off the last 2 weeks since i went back to work. I asked him.

He said as your abdominals and quads (muscles)start to fire more- I'm engaging them more with the next level of activity and exercises- the nerve/muscle combination can cause the cramping.

I had none last night after his adjustment despite me working yesterday smile

Hope this is helpful

Foot cramps! I'm + 8 weeks TKR No.1 leg and being honoured experiencing whole leg cramps (from gluteus maximus to foot) genuine dibilitating 'man-pain' as well!

I do like his explanation "As your abdominals and quads (muscles) start to fire more the nerve/muscle combination can cause the cramping."  I guess this means we should be doing less because 'less is more'?

Hahahaha! I wish that were true! I noticed in discussion, most people started these cramps around 5-6+weeks. Growing pains takes on new meaning doesnt it? :'wink

Thanks for sharing that.  It's interesting.  Might be something to look forward to!!!  lol  I plan to go to see an osteopath in a few weeks time, as they manipulated my leg and it was amazing...It was much easier to do my exercises!  I told them I would come back post operatively to see how they could help with the after effects!  I am about six weeks post op, and will probably go in a few weeks time once I am able to travel on public transport!
