Foot feeling numb and swollen after broken ankle surgery

Hi, i broke my right ankle on 21st Dec 2022, all 3 bones were broken badly.

Had my surgery the next day and now I'm post op 8th day.

I have this constant numbness and swollen feeling in my right foot and it get worse when i put my feet vertically when I use the clutches to get around the house.

can anyone advise me how long will this feeling last and also share with me your ankle recovery journey?

    please direct that question to the surgeon. thats what they are there for to help patients adjust to recovery.
