Foot skin problen

I have really dry skin on the  heel/side of my foot. I thought it might have been a callus but i’m Not so sure now. It’s not itchy but can be painful sometimes when pressure is exerted on it. I’ll try and post a pic of it in the comments. Does anyone know who I should see (e.g. podiatrist), what it is or what might get rid of it? Currently pregnant and plan to breastfeed so holding off on radical options for now.
