For those with very MILD outbreaks

Posted , 3 users are following.

I've had the exact same symptoms going on three weeks now. No longer worse or better than day 1. Visibly by three different doctors I don't look like I have herpes but I have symptoms that could be herpes related or just the yeast infection. My question is for those with very milks outbreaks, which type did you have? When did the symptoms end and has it ever gotten worse?

My symptoms which I consider mild are redness, irritation, itchiness (only once a day) spotting, discharge (initially strong odor but now not as strong but still not my normal scent)

Milder first outbreak symptoms seem to be more common with Type 2, but not always.

Do you have any swollen/tender lymph nodes in your groin? I had one slightly enlarged node, a handful of minor lesions that didn't hurt too much, mild itching, some milky discharge, and what felt like a moderate UTI (moderate by my standards, at least!).

Got better week by week and felt fully normal, as in no more itching whatsoever, by week three.

I don't think that I do. I know what it's like when my glands in my neck are swollen but I'm not sure what it would be like if down there was swollen. I'm assuming I would know. I'm not sure. Did your outbreaks get worst after your initial or have you only had the one so far?

Knock on wood, but only the one so far. The groin lymph nodes are near the crease where your leg meets your body, right at the very top of your thighs.

You usually have to dig your fingers in and feel around and they normally feel like little peas, lol. If swollen, they will be bigger and possibly a bit tender (the tenderness goes, even though they remain swollen for longer).

For a first outbreak, this is quite common, as it's a sign that your body is trying to fight off a new infection.

I'm so nervous and anxious today. All weekend I've just assumed this is what my outcome is so I can cope but I still don't want it to be this. Did they test you positive with a culture swab? I get anxiety sometimes and right now I'm very anxious. 😩

The waiting is admittedly agonising, I agree! But there's a chance you have something else, since you don't have typical symptoms, so hope for the best. smile

My final diagnosis was by a PCR/DNA swab of my vagina and an external lesion I found. Before that, it was suspected that I just had a UTI, as I had no other symptoms till a few days later.
