fordyce spots?

Posted , 4 users are following.

so i have had these for as long i can remember, probably around when puberty started, but i am looking for someone elses opinion. i am not circumsized, these tiny bumps are not painfull or itchy, and it is only visible when my penis is erect as youcan see in the photos hopefully. there are alot of these bumps and some have hairs growing from them which led me to believe they were fordyce spots, any help would be awesome and apretiated cheesygrin   also i have had many blood tests done, urine testes and xrays done and examined to find out if there was anything wrong with me because of another issue though and there seemed to be nothing wrong with me with those tests. and the bumps are mainly on the base of my penis going up the shaft and there are a few on my scrotum to although they might be very hard to see... i whited out some areas to protect my privacy i added a photo of the best way to exam the majority of it, but on the top of my penis there are only a few near the base

Yes they look like fordyce spots. I have some as well. I don't think there is any way to get rid of them.

Yes, those look like Fordyce spots.  I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Yep, they look like typical Fordyce spots to me too. Much more common than people realise, the whole underside of my penile shaft has always been covered in them. I don't even notice them anymore!

Hi William! Like the others already have told you, there's nothing to worry about. We've all got some of those fordyce spots, if taking a closer look, and it's normal and nothing to worry about. It's also normal to have on the lips, under the eyes or other places. Some have more than others. It doesn't require any treatment and there's nothing to be embarrased about. If there's some small bumps where it grows hairs from, then it's likely to be normal hair follicles. This is how it should look like in this area where pubic hair grows.
