What age are you ? Do you wash your penis with soap and shower gel and stuff like that ?

Have you just noticed these things or could some have been there for quite some time, such as years perhaps .....?

Water is the only safe thing to contact penile skin. I have just responded to someone experiencing an issue of irritation on the head of his penis - the principles are the same for your penile skin so here is some insight from what I said:

      .

The vast majority of these issues are caused by something that is irritating the skin: in statistical terms items of body wash such as soap and shower gel are the major cause. After this are things that are deliberately applied to the penile skin such as skin cream, lotion, moisturiser and so on. Things used for during sex or masturbation - anything that has a chemical base can irritate the sensitive skin on the head of the penis.

Washing correctly is an essential: after urination, following sexual arousal and the production of pre-ejaculate - after you have used a condom you need to remove it ASP afterwards and do a full clean up and wash so that any chemicals that are on the inside of the condom are removed from the skin it has been in contact with - this is particularly the case for the head and the entire inner-foreskin for those not circumcised. Just as important is fully drying all the penile skin so that no moisture remains, as, any moisture trapped between foreskin and the inner skin surfaces can become a problem. Use a clean dry towel that ONLY you use .....

If you look at the whole issue this way - when we are born the majority of us have as near perfect skin as you can get. Skin on the penis is more sensitive to contact with anything that has a chemical base, so, from birth onwards our skin is in daily contact with soap and other forms of body wash, then there are other items put on penile skin when we get older, for sex and for masturbation, or purely in a bid to moisturise the skin.

Often, penile skin gets to the point where it just cannot deal with contact with almost anything, other than water, and these further deplete the healthiness and quality of the skin.

I am wondering whether you are or gave been quite an active person, such as training for and doing active sports, and / or regular gym workouts where sweat is the product of what you have been doing ..... ?

Yes I would agree - I was looking for at least a partial explanation for why you have some of the marking that is present on your penile shaft.

I think this is something that only a Dermatologist would be able to give you some level of certainty on this ......
