Hi Duncamo. I am 36. I am on sert.for nearly 4 years and forgetting things is getting bigger issue with every month.

From one side i have huge improvvement regarding nervous system - i'v never been so calm in my life. anxiety nearly to zerro in 4 years.

From another side, something is going on in my brain (the feeling is that kind of connections are not working.) I can't easy remember what i was thinking before couple of seconds. If i try, i can but if i want it to happen by itself, it doesn't work. Lets say, I want to cook. I go to frigde and open it. I can't do it very fast because i've forgotten what i want to take out of it sad Than i do it quite slowely and keep thinking - 'i want to cook. so, i have to take....milk'

Is it something whats going on with you?

I start to think that maybe its time to decrease?

    any similar experiences?

I'm 27 and it sounds like we have the same memory problems. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten my degree which I finished not that long ago as well as other chunks of my life. I'm pretty sure I didn't have severe memory problems on Citalopram and my GP has no advice. I feel frustrated and embarassed.

      Hi B,

Well I've been to see GP..been on Sertraline 6mths on 100mg for 2mths. She isn't happy with my memory, tiredness etc..not back to my former self. Rather then up them, she said a change of anti/d. may be in order.

Feel sad I've spent 6mths on Sertraline. Not to feel loads better.

I've two weeks to decide. I'm going to up them myself to 150mg and see what happens.. Wish me luck. Xxx

Really that's bad..few days without your Sertraline fix.?. I've got to decide in these two weeks. The thought of coming off them scares me... Ide deffo take them till you see your GP on Friday. Good luck keep us posted.

In all honesty am glad to be getting off them, I know they take a few weeks to take effect but the side effects are horrible, like am in a dream everyday, forgetting things, no idea what day it is among other things.. Going to be a tough few days and i will refuse to take them. thank you will do!
